Naturechild

There is a saying in Japanese culture,
that if the spirit of the unborn child is strong and vibrant,
you will be able to boil a kettle over the navel of the mother's belly

About Naturechild

About NaturechildNaturechild is a website that is developing a database to help you find the practitioners and goods and services in your area that offer holistic and sustainable approaches to bringing up healthy children.

Naturechild is all about good things. It's about finding a way to create a web presence for the kinds of people and projects that care about children. We are interested in all aspects of sustainable living and are happy to promote anything which helps to make a less hectic world.

We are particularly interested helping to create a viable and affordable web space for people without a website, and also to create a strong link for people with.

Work from home

A major part of the motivation to develop this web directory is to offer an opportunity for parents to be able to work from home.

So often the majority of what working mothers do earn will principally finance childcare costs. We are endeavouring to create a space that means women can market their skills and services from their kitchen table.

Without childcare overheads incomes can be considerably reduced, leaving mums to be home with their children and still able to contribute to the family coffers. Or, if mum is the big earner, then for dads to be able to stay home!

Anything that you can make or do…

cake making, preserves
DIY skills, gardening
professional services relating to your previous work
book keeping, accounting
typing, secretarial, admin support
greeting cards, gift ideas
knitting, sewing, crafts
dressmaking
cleaning, cooking, ironing
dogwalking, childminding, babysitting

Whatever your skills; this site is working to provide space for these services to be found in their own locality.

How Naturechild works:

Naturechild is being developed as a web directory with an in-house search engine.

The database is structured to search by location, divided by county and subdivided by postcode, or, to search by product or service countrywide.

Our motivation is to create local trade; to help people to find goods and services in their own vicinity, to use consumer power to support our neighbours rather than supporting conglomerate or corporate structures, and to encourage trade to small shops and businesses.

Naturechild is also concerned about helping to find ways to reduce packaging and the resulting waste material it produces. Naturechild is concerned about helping to find ways that reduce traffic; helping to create trade that can be done through postal delivery, thus reducing car journeys.

Naturechild will support any project or endeavour that will help to create sustainability and will support anything that will help to reduce waste of energy or resources.

Advertising on Naturechild

  • A page on Naturechild costs £15 per month
  • Each subscriber's page will include:

    a photograph or image
    a 200 word ‘Description'
full contact details, including instant email link
    hours of availability
    web link (if applicable)

  • There is an initial administration cost of £35 to format your information into the site
  • each subscriber will receive monthly notification of their hit tally
  • changes can be submitted on a monthly basis for a £5 admin fee

Naturechild is working to increase and maintain a strong ranking and high visibility in the search engines.

When you subscribe on Naturechild you will be subscribing to visibility.

During these early phases of development the subscription funds are being churned back into site development. As the site matures we will be able to develop the Naturechild Trust, with the aim of providing development funds for projects involving getting and being pregnant and anything to enhance the wellbeing of children.
